Certificates on non-existence, additional copy of a mortgage certificate and EEIG certificates

It has come to our attention that Companies House may have sold the following certificates without having a statutory fee in place to do so:

• certificates of non-existence
• additional copy of a mortgage certificate, when purchased at the same time as a mortgage certificate
• EEIG certificates (this does not apply to certificates given as part of the initial registration or change of name processes, but applies to certificates requested thereafter)

As a result, we are making customers aware so that those entitled can apply for a refund.

Q. Are all customers who purchased this product directly from Companies House entitled to a refund?

Yes.
