CBI Financial Director's Excellence Awards 2008
Government Agency of the Year: Companies House
Companies House representatives were thrilled to accept this year's prestigious CBI Financial Director's Excellence Award presented at a gala event on 15th April. This was announced at an Awards dinner with Yvette Cooper representing the Government at Ministerial level and Vicky Pryce (BERR Chief Economic Advisor).
Our Award was one of those based entirely on the votes of Finance Directors from CBI member companies and was received by Companies House Director of Customer Delivery, Tom Smith, accompanied by colleagues Val Jasinski (Customer Service & Compliance), Jack Mansfield (Accountancy Profession Liaison) & Jane Walters (Customer Support Services).
Companies House CEO, Gareth Jones, said in response 'This is a great honour for Companies House & BERR but comes as no surprise to me. I am delighted that such influential customers have acknowledged in this way the great work that we do both for them and the public at large. It has been a time of significant change and challenge for us and the timing of this award makes the achievement all-the-more satisfying. We are an organisation driven by an enthusiastic work force with a real desire to serve our customers and I express my heartfelt thanks and congratulations to all those who made this possible'.
