Re-issue of Certified Documents

Companies House receives enquiries from customers who have not received the original documents, and in these cases a replacement may be issued.

Following an assessment of our Standard Certified Document process, Companies House has reviewed its policy regarding requests for re-issue of these documents.

The Standard Service orders are satisfied within 4 working days of receipt and the documents are available for delivery by post (1st Class Royal Mail or Document Exchange (DX)) or collection from a Companies House office after 4pm.

From 1 May 2012, Companies House will only consider requests for replacement certificates when:

  • 5 working days have past since the original company certificate was issued
  • 7 days have past since the original documents were issued overseas

Requests made for re-issue of certificates issued over 28 days from date of original issue will not be accepted.

Customers using the Same Day Certified Document Service are not affected by these restrictions and should contact Companies House Contact Centre on 0303 1234 500, if they have any queries regarding the receipt of premium orders.
