Part 25 Companies Act Draft Regulations

We notified customers of proposed changes to Part 25 of the Companies Act last year.

The Department of Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) has now completed draft regulations. The department wishes to give you a final opportunity to consider the text of the draft regulations amending Part 25 of the Companies Act 2006 (registration of company charges) before they are laid in both Houses of Parliament in the Autumn. This is to also enable you to make any preparations you deem necessary, to be ready for when the proposed changes come into force, subject to Parliamentary approval.

If you have any concerns about any significant consequences, intended or unintended, that these changes may have, which you wish to raise with the Department, please reply to the following e-mail address before 5pm on 7 September 2012:

part25companiesact2006@bis.gsi.gov.uk

Please find draft regulations for companies and Limited Liability Partnerships as well as an explanatory note setting out the rationale for our proposed amendments on the BIS website
