Since 2005, Companies House has offered the PROtected Online Filing (PROOF) scheme to customers which is included in our '3 Point Plan' to protect companies against corporate identity fraud. The scheme is free of charge and adds an extra level of security to WebFiling. Under the scheme, companies authorise us to reject certain documents unless they are filed electronically using secure passwords. On 4th March we had our Millionth sign up to the scheme!
