Reporting Fraud to Companies House
The increase in Fraud is a serious matter very much on the mind of Companies House, we fully appreciate customer concerns and we want to do all we can to assist in resolving these issues. Please note that whilst we are able to advise on issues of fraudulent filings sent to Companies House, we do not have any specific investigatory powers. Any allegations of fraud arising from the use of false filing should be reported to the police as they are the appropriate authority to deal with such matters. We will indicate to you if your referral is one that should be referred to the police. If we receive a subsequent request for information from the police, we will endeavour to assist them in any way that we can. Please note that any investigation that does not involve forms being filed at Companies House, but involves the conduct of a company and/or its officers may be carried out by Companies Investigation Branch.
