What are RSS feeds?

RSS feeds allow you to see when websites have added new content (including news and media files). You can get the latest headlines and video in one place, as soon as it is published, without having to visit the websites you have taken the feed from.

How do I use RSS feeds?

You will need an RSS reader to use RSS feeds. This is a piece of software that checks feeds to let you know when new content has been added. Some readers are used in web browsers while others are downloadable applications. See a list of various readers below.

Once you have your reader you have to decide what content you wish to receive. You will notice an orange button on pages that have RSS feeds. If you would like to receive the latest information related to that RSS feed click on the orange button. You can also subscribe to the feed by cutting and pasting the feed’s URL into your reader.
