What we can help Press colleagues with?: Companies House maintains a small information and contact facility for members of the Media and Trade Press. For this reason, while we do welcome professional interest in Companies House, we are extremely limited in our ability to respond to search requests and you will be redirected in such circumstances. We are, however, able to provide support and assistance in arranging formal interviews with our senior managers, understanding the application of Companies Act legislation and advise on our role and responsibilities as an executive agency of Government. If you have other issues we would be happy to discuss these and point you in the right direction.

You will be redirected to specialist colleagues for Company Searches: If your enquiries relate to specific questions about particular companies, directors and/or information on company legal responsibilities you will be guided by Press Desk staff to our Website or to our Customer Call Centre, where our specialist staff will be happy to assist with your enquiries. Ultimately, the documentation on-line is authoritative in a way that voice-over conversations are not and you should only rely on the research information shown on or lifted directly from the database for reporting purposes in such cases. Information about accessing the Register of British companies from your own base is shown below.'

Online facilities include:

'Guidance Booklets' giving guidance and timing on director responsibilities, account filing deadlines, etc.

'Our Services': our extensive public record, which lists our available search facilities. Most of the information you will ever require in this regard is available through our excellent 'WebCHeck' facility, which is a customer-tailored service; or from 'Companies House Direct', which is a subscribed to service which costs from £5 per month. These services are available from Monday - Saturday 7:00am to 12 Midnight UK Time.

Companies House Internal Communication & Press Team is available from 09:00 am - 17:00 pm Monday - Friday, excluding Public Holidays.
