Changes to Registrars Fees October 2012
Following a review of our processes and services Companies House is reducing some of its fees from 1 October 2012.
This is to ensure that our fees accurately reflect our costs. Companies House is a Trading Fund and must operate on the basis of cost recovery. European law and HM Treasury guidance also require fees to be linked to the forecast costs for providing each service and the way in which customers can access them.
As a result of efficiencies made by Companies House, coupled with high volumes of customers using electronic services, cost savings are being passed on to customers in the form of reduced fees.
The changes to the fees were laid before Parliament on 23 July 2012.
Amendments to fees will affect Companies, Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs), Overseas Companies, European Economic Interest Groupings (EEIGs) and European Public Limited Liability Companies (SEs). The changes will also affect searchers of the public register.
With the exception of Forms 466 and LLP 466, from 1 October 2012 Companies House will stop charging for forms delivered under the Companies Act 1985, the Companies (Northern Ireland) Order 1986 and any of those provisions which applied to LLPs and EEIGs.
