File informationHow to submit your company information to Companies House: WebFiling WebFiling is the safe and reliable way to file your information online
As well as saving you money on your Annual Return (£13 instead of £40 on paper), other information can be easily filed including your annual accounts, changes to your registered office address and director/secretary information. To use our WebFiling service, just register a password and your email address online. A company authentication code will then be posted to your registered office. The authentication code is unique and is used in place of a signature. Access WebFiling now or watch the demo videos to see how easy it is. Software Filing Our Software Filing service enables the electronic submission of statutory documents via XML
Documents are automatically validated for compliance with the Companies Act before notice of acceptance or rejection is issued. The service is open to all document presenters, but will be of most benefit to those filing documents on a daily or weekly basis. The more documents you file with Companies House the more appropriate your use of Software Filing is likely to be, and the greater the potential efficiency gains from use of the service. For infrequent users our WebFiling service may be more appropriate. To register for Software Filing, please complete the Online Filing Services Credit Account Application (PDF 762KB) On receipt, we will create an account, allocate a credit limit and despatch a start up pack with all the information you need to get filing. More information on our Software Filing service Documents Delivered by Post All our offices are able to take delivery of documents by post
If you are sending documents by post, courier or Britdoc (DX) and would like a receipt, Companies House will provide an acknowledgement if you enclose a copy of your covering letter with a pre-paid addressed return envelope. We will barcode your copy letter with the date of receipt and return it to you in the envelope provided. Please note: an acknowledgement of receipt does not mean that a document has been accepted for registration at Companies House. The availability for receiving postal deliveries outside of office hours differs between our offices. Please check availability before posting documents.
