Online Filing Presenter Application Forms

If you intend to file documents electronically with Companies House, you may need or benefit from having an Online Filing Presenter Account.

There are three different types of presenter account available.  Each differs to meet the needs associated with the authentication and payment of fees for the various online transactions we offer.

You will need to complete one of the application forms below if you:

  • intend to file using third-party software
  • are a lender wishing to file charges electronically (software or WebFiling)
  • wish to file via WebFiling and pay filing fees by credit account rather than by credit/debit card

Important note: All applications must be posted to Companies House and can take up to 5 working days to process. The associated Presenter ID and authentication codes are posted to the contact address.

Credit Account for Online Filing - Fee-Bearing Documents (PDF 888KB) Use this application to apply for a credit account to pay for filing fee-bearing documents, and obtain a Presenter ID and Presenter Authentication Code needed to file using third-party software. WebFiling users can apply for this credit account to pay filing fees (minimum usage applies for WebFiling). Presenter Account for Online Filing - Non-fee Bearing Documents (PDF 214KB) Use this application if you need to obtain a Presenter ID and Presenter Authentication Code to file, via third-party software, documents which DO NOT have a fee (e.g. accounts).
 
Register as a Lender for Filing Electronic Charge Documents (PDF 974KB) Use this application to obtain the Lender Authentication Code needed to file charge documents electronically for companies other than your own. You can also use this application to apply for a credit account to pay for filing fee-bearing documents, and obtain a Presenter ID and Presenter Authentication Code to file documents electronically.

Do I need a Companies House presenter account to file accounts via Software Filing?

Yes. If you already have an online filing credit account which you use to file Annual Returns, you can this account (and associated Presenter ID / Presenter Authentication) to electronically file accounts via software.

If you do not have a presenter account and wish to file fee-bearing documents as well as accounts, then please complete the application form Credit Account Application for Online Filing (PDF 888KB)

I want to file mortgage documents electronically.  Which application form should I use?

If you are a lender and wish to file charges against companies other than your own, you should complete the form Application to Register as a Lender for Filing Electronic Charge Documents (PDF 974KB) You will need to obtain a Lender Authentication Code to file charges electronically.

The same form can also be used to apply for a Presenter ID and Presenter Authentication Code if you do not already have these details. These codes are necessary for filing charges electronically.

In addition, if you wish to pay your filing fees by account, you can apply for a credit account on the same application form. WebFiling customers can pay by credit card or PayPal instead if they wish.

If you already file online and wish to file mortgage documents for your own company, or ones for which you know the company authentication code, you can do so by using your existing codes.
